The Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) Alumnae Conference, hosted by the United States government in collaboration with various local organizations, took place in Kampala, Uganda, on November 20, 2024. This inaugural event was designed to celebrate and empower nearly 750 Ugandan women entrepreneurs who have participated in the AWE program since its inception in 2019. The conference brought together around 300 alumnae, mentors, investors, and key stakeholders under the theme “Celebrating Uganda’s Women Entrepreneurs.”
